Next year's stamps.
The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.
The 20-10 U-S stamps will be have a retro look.
"It sure seems like we are taking a nostalgic look back at a lot of things, whether it
be our Cowboys of the Silver Screen, the Negro Leagues Baseball, you know, some of those
subjects kind of seem to be taking us back to the 50s and the 40s, I think."

Roy Rogers and Gene Autry are among those Cowboy movie stars. Dave Failor, the man in
charge of stamps for the U-S Postal Service, says other household names include Katharine
Hepburn and Kate Smith.
But not all the stamps hearken back to the Good O' Days. One of the five Sunday Funnies
stamps is for Calvin and Hobbes.
"It's more of a contemporary Sunday comic strip that my children grew up with."
RUNS :04
Other subjects include the Lunar New Year....the Winter Games...a Winslow Homer
painting....and the social awareness issue is pet adoption.
"There's millions of animals that are in shelters every year in the United States, and
unfortunately, many of them get euthanized because they can't find a home."
RUNS :07
And it doesn't hurt that these stamps should sell well.
"People love cats and dogs."
