When Does Forever Start?
The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

There's some confusion at local post offices about the new Forever stamp, which is
already on sale.
Right now, it costs forty-one cents, which will be the new first-class letter rate
starting May 14th. If and when the rate goes up, the price goes up, but you can still
use Forever stamps to mail letters, no questions asked about how much you paid when.
First, yes, you CAN use the stamp NOW to mail a letter -- you're just giving the
Postal Service an extra two cents.
Yes, you CAN use it to mail a package or send a letter overseas. Each Forever stamp
will pay forty-one cents of whatever the postage charge is.
If you want a roll of stamps right now, you'll have to use the flag stamp: The Forever
stamp doesn't come that way.
Finally, you can still use your thirty-nine-cent stamps, even after the rate change.
Just remember to add two cents...because almost all U-S postage stamps are good...
