Dribs and drabs.

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

Maybe U-S stamp collectors are spoiled. For years, we’ve been told before the start of
the year most of the stamps the Postal Service plans to issue. Now, we’re told a few of
the early issues and then... Well, what information we get comes from many different
sources — some official, some not. Sometimes one department of the Postal Service tells
us what another department is trying to keep secret!

So here are some of the latest tidbits.

That Janis Joplin stamp? One list now has it coming out in August. My guess is we’ll see
it on the 45th anniversary of Woodstock.

The long-rumored Circus Posters stamps are now confirmed just three weeks from now.

Nevada statehood isn’t going to be issued on the actual anniversary, but at the end of
May.

Another long-rumored issue, Hot Rods, is listed for early June... but instead of the
five designs for previous classic auto issues, there will be just two.

I guess there really are cutbacks at the Postal Service.
