Stamps on You-Tube.

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

The National Postal Museum's Council of Philatelists -- that is, stamp collecting
advisors -- wants to see more videos on You-Tube about stamp collecting.

"Stamp collecting is really looked upon as being a mature gentlemen's hobby, and there's
so much fun out there and there's so much encouragement, that we really feel that by
trying to appeal to the new "techie" people that we might get some new collectors." :16

Elizabeth Hisey is a member of the Council. She feels YouTube is the way to do it.

"Somebody pulls up something on cats and they suddenly find there's a YouTube video all
about Cats on Stamps and somebody can say, 'Well, I can do that. Ooh!That's fun.'" :10

Hisey says it's easy to create a stamp collecting video.

"This information is on the APS website, and you can just click on the button, and it will
walk you through each single step, and if I can do it, then anybody else can do it." :09

That website is stamps-dot-org. The Council offers cash prizes for the best videos. The
current competition runs through the end of May.
