Dust off the crystal ball.
The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.
Later this month, the U-S Postal Service will tell us about most of the stamps it will
issue in Two Thousand Seven.
Some of the choices will be complete surprises, but we know or can guess some of the
others.
Already announced is a fourth Disney set, with the theme of Magic. One of the four stamps
will show Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Tinker Bell could be on another.
There will be at least one stamp for the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown Settlement,
and I'd bet there will be more than one.
We also know there will be stamps in the Black Heritage, Literary Arts and Legends of
Hollywood series, but we don't know the exact subjects. James Michener might be the author
selected: It'll be the centennial of his birth.
Other historical figures who have significant anniversaries in Two Thousand Seven include
William Howard Taft .... Robert E. Lee ... and Alexander Hamilton.
Oklahoma celebrates its statehood centennial next year. That's a good bet, too..
And that's Stamp Collecting this week.
I'm Lloyd de Vries, CBS News.
