From Way Up North To Tinseltown

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries. 

Canada's postal system is honoring its native sons and daughters, Canadians who've made it 
big in Hollywood. But there's a twist: One of the stamps will feature the original scream 
queen Fay Wray...

SOUND: Fay Wray scream

...the HUMAN star of the original King Kong. But Canada Post won't tell us who the other 
three stars are. All we're told is they're all dead, so that eliminates current big names 
such as William Shatner, Donald Sutherland and Michael J. Fox.

Sources tell me the others are...

SOUND: "Bonanza" theme

...Lorne Greene, star of television's "Bonanza" and later Battlestar Galactica....

SOUND:  "I'm your Uncle Buck"

...John Candy ... and Mary Pickford, queen of the SILENT films ...

SOUND: 

...and probably Hollywood's first woman executive.

Canada Post plans to announce who the stamp subjects are right before the issue date....or 
maybe we'll have to wait for the stamps themselves.
