Worth The Trip
The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.
The Postal Service is excited about the big Washington Two Thousand Six international stamp
show next month.
"There's going to be a lot of first day ceremonies,we're going to have four of them there,
we've got a great youth area, there's 3800 exhibits. I mean, it's going to be THE stamp
collecting event for the last couple of years."

Several countries, including Canada, Israel and Bermuda, are issuing stamps at the show, and
Dave Failor says the U-S Postal Service will issue four, including a special souvenir sheet
for collectors reprinting classic stamps .... a set honoring six of America's great
diplomats.... and a joint issue with Canada for the explorer Champlain. But the key one, Failor
told us last year, is the forty-stamp Wonders of America sheet.
"Colorful images, much like a travel poster, that talk about the largest reptile, the biggest
alligator, and the windiest place, the largest volcano, and just all sorts of wonderful, kind
of kitschy, things."

And that's Stamp Collecting this week.
