The ceremony launching the Ronald Reagan stamp will be held in California, but Washington decision-makers such as James Miller also wanted to honor him.
"It's almost spontaneous. There just seems to be such an interest in the stamp and
recognizing the president."

So there will be FOUR ceremonies -- at the Reagan Library, in Washington, in his hometown,
and in Sacramento, where he served as governor. Members of Congress and the Reagan Alumni
Association, like Miller, have been invited to the Washington ceremony
"This is, I think, reflective of the admiration so many people have for the president."

Miller is now chairman of the Postal Service Board of Governors, but he was also Reagan's
budget chief, and he thinks the stamp captures Ronald Reagan
INCUE: If you look at that stamp, you'll see the twinkle in his eye and the charismatic grin
that was so characteristic of his optimism."
